Dad-gum it! This is for all the corporate idiots, the management brain trust, the IT geniuses, who have forgotten what a back-up/hot back-up, hot standby, replication server, virtual machine, or a rollback is. To you, they’re just “whatchamacallits” from a previous time. You’ve also forgotten about the fundamental software development life cycle, and it’s cardinal rule: “Test, Test, Test!”. You put all your trust in one cyber security solution, and now (so far), it's cost the world $7 billion dollars and will probably approach $10 billion when all is said and done. One “Humpty Dumpty” file brought down “all the kings horses and all the kings men”, causing a global panic. Now cyber criminals are targeting these systems at will… faster than any airline reservation system can recover from this debacle. At these high stakes, wouldn't it make sense to spread out some of your trust to smaller cyber companies or IT shops? I'm sure that if they failed you, they could still do better than offer a $10 Uber eats settlement!
